My athletic career began nearly 10 years ago with competitive alpine ski racing. Starting in 8th grade, I began attending Gould Academy to further pursue the sport, and compete at both the USSA and FIS level. During my sophomore year, I realized alpine ski racing, being an individual sport, was not for me. This was a difficult reality to face, but with support of family and faculty, I was able to reset and turn my focus towards a great team sport.
While I started playing lacrosse in 6th grade at various positions, I began focusing at FO during my sophomore year. I took away many lessons from specializing at this position, in particular how much the mental game matters. I quickly realized I would have to believe in myself and my abilities to compete at the next level.
I found that hard work and focus on the field translates directly into being successful academically. My goal is to finish high school as a member of the Cum Laude Honors Society as well as finish with High Honors, near the top of my class. Since the day I was born my parents have always taught me to finish strong.
