Colin Kenney '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Colin Kenney and I am a junior at The Boys’ Latin School of Maryland. Throughout my time at BL, specifically in the upper school, I have prided myself on being a true student-athlete. I am a dedicated student taking the most competitive courses (all honors and AP) and one of the hardest-working athletes on the field. I hold myself to a high standard, both academically and athletically. Having achieved both honors and dean's list recognition, as well as putting in the extra time on the field. 

I have been playing lacrosse since I was five years old. From my local recreation council to Club, and now playing for my school in one of the most competitive high school lacrosse conferences in the nation, the MIAA - A Conference. As a freshman, I was the leading points scorer for the JV team and made Varsity as a sophomore. I am a leader on and off the field and am often told by my coaches that I am one of the hardest working and most coachable players. 

Within the Boys' Latin community, I was voted to the Honor Board my Sophomore year by my peers and teachers. This is one of the highest honors in our community, as I work with my fellow board members to uphold the School’s honor code and mission statement. I have also been involved in several clubs as well as a member of the varsity soccer team. 

I am looking for a school where I can continue to be a strong student-athlete, striking the balance between athletics and academics. I think I will bring a lot to any school, team, and community.
