Hi coaches, my name is Amir Walton-Irvin, I am 6’1 and 170 pounds and a sophomore at Chesapeake High School in Pasadena, Maryland. I have been playing lacrosse for a year now and it has quickly become one of the most important aspects of my life outside of school and family. Because I have been playing for only a year, I strictly base myself on improving everyday in any way that is possible. I am a dedicated and motivated athlete who made junior varsity for the first time ever playing and making varsity after only playing a year. I am a varsity LSM in the MPSSAA conference in Maryland. I am an honor roll student with a 4.38 weighted and a 4.00 unweighted gpa.
I am very coachable and can take what I hear during practice or games and execute the change needed immediately on the field. To continue my improvement on the field I play club for MDLL Select and in the summer and fall and play in Maryland Lacrosse Leagues high school league on a select team during the summer and fall months. During my off season I go to a personal trainer offered by my club team and my school's winter strength and conditioning program. All year I am constantly on the wall and working on my footwork to improve my consistency on the field to be able to compete at high levels.
