Making it to the regional Championship for cross country as a freshman was the highlight of my high school career. My team was one point away from making state qualifiers. That experience felt like hitting a brick wall, but it helped me me grow and Showed me that obstacles and failures will happen. But even after those failureIs i learned that that I should pick my head up and use the failures to motivate myself, to refocus and work harder. Not only did this reflection help me in cross country but also helped me on the lacrosse team and the wrestling team.
My High School lacrosse team is not one of the highest ranked teams in the county, but I am fourtunate enough to be on a team that has a great work ethic, never lets failures and losses bring their heads down. Being on a team like this helped me become a leader and increased my desire to work hard and strive to keep on improving as a player and a leader. All of these experiences taught me the value of leadership, commitment, and sacrifice.
I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an impact on your program. As a three-sport athlete and two time captain, I know that I have what it takes to be on your team.
