My name is Anthony Veliz, I am 5’10 150 lbs. I am class of 2022 who have been playing for 3 years. I am currently a 2-way midfielder Varsity Captain under Eleanor Roosevelt High School. As a child I was always so lost in which sport I wanted to play, never knowing what best suited me. When I entered high school and discovered lacrosse it was opportunity I couldn’t give up. I understood the position that I might not make a team because of no past experience. This did not stop me from going out everyday on my dirt field to practice everyday on a old wire fence as a goal to better my skills everyday. I put passion into my game grasping every single piece of information I can and make the most out it. Not only do I want to make myself better I want to make my team look better. I get down and gritty with every play through rough contact through scrappy ground balls but also create scenarios so my team can succeed. Being a captain for my Junior year open my eyes to how much more I love lacrosse that every second I want to get better. I’m looking to pursue a college degree in graphic design due to my creative approaches to situations. I’ve maintained over a 3.0 with honors classes all year long. I wanna make the best of the situation for me and your team.
