When I was young, I didn’t even have any plan on playing sports, until my aunt had suggested to me when I was 8. We went to a few clinics and i decided that I liked it, and wanted to play on a team. I went to my first practice, and hated it; as it was nothing I was used to. However, I decided to stay on the team. That team that I was on went undefeated for the next three seasons I was on it, winning championships. It wasn’t easy for me however, and it showed me how much i’m willing to work on something when I put my mind to it. It taught me perseverance and hard work pays off. It has brought forth some of my leadership abilities. I’m hoping to play lacrosse at the collegiate level, as I have invested so much time and effort in learning and improving. I would love to play what I love, as well as learn what I love while doing so. I am hoping to get a degree in criminology. I feel like I have the attributes for this occupation, and that in lacrosse, those attributes show greatly. Unfortunately with covid-19, me, as well as the rest of the lacrosse community, had to skip the 2020 season, so i’m hoping to make that season up in 2023. I would be great for a team because I have never failed to motivate, provide a guide, or be supportive to my team. I love to encourage teamwork and great connections with everyone, making the team feel whole.
