"Enjoy the process" That is the quote I live by from the classroom, weight room, and field. Coming from blue-collar parents who wake up at 4 in the morning every day to provide for my sister and I, at an early age hard work was instilled in me. Lacrosse to me is a way of expressing myself using my stick as a paintbrush and the field as the canvas. The culture of Lacrosse is truly what makes the sport so wonderful and fuels the fire for me to compete and give it all I have every single day and every single minute. What makes me a good candidate is my character and commitment to improvement. Improvement is a constant process in which the fruits of its labor take time to bear. Having the passion and drive to keep doing more has become one of obsession, developing a strong founded habit of pushing myself. I also pride myself on my character: whether that's in the classroom being proactive and asking questions, helping the janitor by picking up garbage, doing one more rep on the squats, bench press, or sprint, teaching underprivileged kids at the local recreation center, I want to be the best person I can be, on and off the field. I live by the motto; "hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard." My goal ultimately is to give back to my home country of Myanmar where underprivileged kids study by candlelight and where a pencil is worth a day's hard work. I plan to go back to Myanmar to open a public law firm and use what I have learned in my studies and experiences with lacrosse to promote an overall better society through legal work but also through the beauty of lacrosse.
