All my life I have been a victim of Bullying, depression, anxiety, Low-confidence, and bad mental health. The game of Lacrosse has changed that. The lacrosse field is where I can be myself and where I find peace. The Lacrosse field took away all worries in my life when it came to my problems at home. One of those problems was my mother (Amanda) who was diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer when I was 10. Just recently her treatments have stopped working and we were given the rest of the 2023 summer with her. I am pushing so hard to play at a competitive school so I can show my mom how good I really can be. When my mother passes she will miss a lot of important dates in the future but I will hopefully still be playing lacrosse and making her proud. Lacrosse has saved my life in many ways, Ive thought about self harm many times and when I remembered why Im playing lacrosse it brings joy back into my mind. Without lacrosse I would probably not be here today, and I am so thankful for lacrosse. Im dedicating the rest of my lacrosse career to my mom. I will show her how great I really am. If i have to sacrifice everything in the process than so be it. My mother will know her son is not a mistake.
