Gavin McGuckin '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Gavin McGuckin. I am 17 years old and a junior at Northfield Mount Hermon, ranked among the top 25 boarding schools in America. Our lacrosse program competes in the Founders League; I play defense for the varsity team. In the summer, I play for True Michigan and True National.

I hope to play college lacrosse at a school with a strong academic program. NMH is a rigorous prep school but I've been on Academic Honor Roll for three semesters now. I played ice hockey since kindergarten but several minor injuries have kept me off the ice so this season I have been managing the JV team. I work in the Alumni office on campus and am  the leader of the Business club. I am enjoying volunteering at Big Brothers and Big Sisters and am excited to be Resident Leader of my dorm for my senior year.
