About me
Hello
My name is Jackson Gates and I will be a sophomore this upcoming school year. I enjoy playing sports as well as hanging out with friends and family. I take school very seriously and math is my favorite subject, I am in the advanced math program, and finished my Freshman year with a 3.7 GPA. In addition to lacrosse, I also participate in football and wrestling. After high school I want to pursue a degree in engineering and continue with lacrosse. As a Freshman this year playing on the Varsity lacrosse team, I had 14 goals and 7 assists. Of our team's 16 scheduled games, I played in 12 (I missed four games with a broken hand) and I played four games with a cast. I live with my mom (Cherie), dad (Alex), brother (Preston age 13) and my sister (Brielle age 10). We have always been a very active family with each of us kids playing sports year-round. In August of 2018, my brother Preston was diagnosed with leukemia and is still fighting it. He has really inspired me to always fight through any issues or challenges, no matter the pain or challenge.
