Beginning at a young age, I've always had an affliction for motion and action whether it be out on the field, along the trails, or among the community. Sport was one of the first outlets I found to fuel my need for movement.
In my high school athletic career, I developed a knack for healthy competition. Successfully participating in three sports throughout the academic year and into the summer really molded my personality and perspective on life. In each sport ranging from lacrosse to cross country nordic skiing, I'm able to apply the reciprocal lessons learned about hard work, effort, and determination not only competitively, but also in day to day living.
As an athlete, I find myself filling in the gaps and stress fractures on a team. I strive to uphold a welcoming environment and seek out the most applicable position on a team. After many years of playing lacrosse and combining skills from my other sports, I've become extremely coachable and constantly aim to perform. I'm flexible, have incredible endurance, and act as a leader and source of strength for my teammates.
In my search for collegiate lacrosse as a prospective athlete, I look for colleges with teams that are driven to succeed and compete to stimulate my competitive nature. Colleges that are not only dedicated to performance, intent on bolstering personal growth, and explicitly academic, but also committed to the well-being of their athletes and community alike. As a collegiate athlete I have the obligation to make a difference on and off the turf.
