From a young age, I was never the brightest and I knew it. I had always thought myself as a lesser gifted student and a poor athlete. Up until my Junior year of High School, when I joined the Diploma Programme, I was a bonafide slacker. I thought that collegiate athletics and posterboard colleges were a joke. The train of reality hit me quickly as I had lost some important people in my life. I felt terribly lost emotionally and I lost my competitive drive in school. By picking up Lacrosse was a lifesaver for me. I found a deep passion for the game and its history, therefore making it easier than ever to pursue it full time. This spark that has built me to who I am today is what makes me great for any collegiate team. I have the drive to excel both academically and athletically; I have the leadership skills to motivate my teammates and academic peers. My dream is to attend and excel in an Ivy League university while playing Lacrosse.
