Personal Statement

Playing lacrosse at the highest collegiate level while obtaining my bachelor's degree is what I aspire to do after high school. Being part of a team, having players as friends, and learning from coaches is a main goal; but receiving a high-quality education and being successful is my ultimate goal.   My team comes before I do and this value has been ingrained into me from the beginning by many coaches in multiple sports.  The mantra "there is no I in team" is very true and what I strive for.  If we all encourage, motivate, and lift our teammates, we as a team can become unstoppable.  Competition and being challenged are something I enjoy and look forward to both in the classroom and on the field.

My athletic goals for myself include becoming stronger, faster, and more dynamic.  I look to lead, not follow, and make the morally correct choice, while not compromising my values.  I show considerable empathy for others and pride myself in sportsmanship.  I want to be the best on and off the field while at the same time remaining humble and true.  As I have witnessed from my sister before me, the hard work never stops for student-athletes, and maintaining a balance between the field and the classroom remains a high priority.

When not playing with my high school or club team, I have guested on various teams and find it amazing meeting new people and coaches to learn from.  There are many different aspects and coaching styles that I enjoy seeing not only from my coaches but from training camps, teammates, and opponents as well.  I am open to new ideas and techniques which can improve my game and never decline anyone willing to take the time to help or teach me.

Besides lax, I also play football (MLB and RB) and CYO basketball.  I enjoy snowboarding, surfing, fishing, and being with my family and friends. I am outgoing, friendly, and always eager to learn.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
