Delaney Donohoe '21 Recruiting Profile

 Hello and thank you for taking the time to check out my profile.  I am currently a junior at Ridge High School. We are a Section 4 public HS in NJ. We play a very competitive schedule in a tough conference.  This year for the first time we went to the state finals! I had great group of girls with me and although we did not bring home the title(boo), I am very proud of my development this year and the contribution I brought to getting our team as far as we did. Throughout my career at Ridge, I have played against some of the top players in the state; you can see me blocking the shot of one of these girls along with a few others on my player video!  I averaged 3 blocks a game - which although isn't captured on this profile (our team didn't submit this statistic outside)  Is on the higher average in the state.   I also had 6 double doubles this season. 

I enjoy team sports. Maybe it's because I'm lucky enough to be part of a large family and we all love playing together - whether outside in our driveway or the annual kickball game we play to celebrate my grandfather's birthday. Family is important to me. I'm the oldest of 4 and have a large extended family that never misses a game - no, seriously -  Aunts, Uncles, siblings, parents - everyone is always laughing at the "Donohoe Cheering Section" .  We are a happy healthy group that loves to watch, play and talk all sports - but, our first love is basketball.  From my grandmother who is a die hard Rutgers basketball fan, to my dad who played at Susquehanna, to my little brother who at 9 is just perfecting his "up and under". I am hoping to incorporate this love into a career in sports marketing or a major that supports my efforts in achieving these goals.
