I was handed a lacrosse stick at the age of 7 by my cousin who recently graduated from and played for the Maryland Terrapins. Ever since that day, lacrosse has been a part of my every day life. From a very young age, I set a goal to not only play for my high school, but make the varsity team as a freshman. I am happy to say that I not only reached that goal, but have exceeded it by making the starting line-up. Lacrosse has taught me to be a team player, a leader, and has opened my eyes to the possibility of becoming a college athlete. I understand that in order to meet my next large goal to be that college athlete, I need to excel in the classroom. I am focused on doing the best that I can so that I have many options to choose from when selecting the college for me. Although it is far away, my goals for college are to get into the college of my choice and to obtain a psychology degree while playing lacrosse.
I am fortunate to come from a very supportive family who shares in my goals and successes. Most of my family have college degrees and many have Master degrees. I have learned that dedication to academics is first and foremost and that college athletics adds to the overall experience of being college student athlete. I am excited about the next few years of high school lacrosse and beginning the process of looking for a college that best fits all of my goals.
