Hello,
I am anticipating furthering my Lacrosse experience at the college level.
My parents encouraged me to play all types of sports. I was fortunate that was able to excel in all of my childhood sports. The only problem was I never put anything extra into any of those sports I played.
My 6th teacher who coached Lacrosse said that I should try Lacrosse. I went out for it and I loved it! The head coach told me he liked my aggressive nature and started me on defense. I moved to LSM as a freshman but though I played “Pole”, my passion was for Attack. I spoke to my coach and told him I wanted to switch to Attack. He told me "I would have to start from the bottom". I took the challenge and I am happy I did. I am now an offensive player with a defensive background. I still take great pride to “beat them on the ride”.
I look forward to my Senior seasons at OCHS. Very proud to say we are CAL Champs 2019. Coach Latorre also won his 100th game @ OCHS.!
This brings me to the next chapter. I see my college years to be a personal growth period. My goal is to explore a Sports Marketing/Media major that will position me well for a career in Sports Broadcasting. On the field, I plan to be a dynamic player and positive influence on the team. As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my college lacrosse career, I will strive to be an asset to the squad. I am slightly younger than some other players are in my class and so as I mature, I anticipate just getting bigger, stronger and better.
Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches and the school I attend.
I hope that you will see the respect that I show for the game of Lacrosse, and allow me to tell you a little more about myself.
Thank you for your time invested in me already.
Respectfully,
Alex
