I am the 7th child of 9 kids. I’m used to being overlooked. Four of my siblings had ROTC scholarships at prestigious private universities. I plan to follow in their footsteps. Of my four siblings, three of them were invited to play college sports, but I am the second one with the passion to play at a college level. I am academically and athletically very competitive. I am a committed student/athlete that plays 2 sports, football and lacrosse at a strong academic STEM public HS and athletically competitive HS in Wake County, NC. I'm a disciplined student/athlete who wants to compete with the best because I feel I have the ability to do so.
I've played football since I was 10 years old. In 6th grade, after a championship season our coaches moved the tram to a pop warner football program as an underaged/undersized team. I was the quarterback and we had a record of 0-8. Although I love being competitive, this season was the most beneficial to me. As the quarterback, I took almost every snap that year despite the bumps, bruises and embarrassment. My reputation for toughness can be traced back to that season of failure.
I’ve begun my senior year as a varsity captain at Middle Creek High School. Us Captain’s lead practices during the COVID pre-season and we showed-up for the season ready to play and in great shape. We are a very competitive lacrosse school, ranking top 5 in the State in the largest HS category (4A). Middle Creek HS which has had an overall record of 45-4 since I have been on the team and now I’m. starting my senior year. We made it to the state championship my freshman year and played in the semi-finals my sophomore year. I’ve started on teams with elite D-1 players. We were 6-0 my junior year when Covid ended the season.
My goal is to play at the most selective academic school with the best lacrosse program and an opportunity to win an Army ROTC scholarship.
