My name is Matthew Scudder. My dream is to play high level lacrosse in college while achieving high-academic standards, focusing on business.

My commitment to you is that I will work every day to help your lacrosse team achieve excellence both on and off the field.

I am a big, strong, fast and athletic ssdm player from Conestoga High School in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. 

I am an aggressive player, I hustle for ground balls and I clear quickly and precisely. I take advantage of my wide frame and play very physical defense. In transition, I am a threat and I am not afraid to shoot the ball when I get my hands open.

I play midfield for Conestoga High School and Roughriders Lacrosse. I have been told by many of my coaches that I am extremely coachable and that I play with a tremendous amount of grit.

The players on my high school team that I have had to defend every day in practice in the past two years included Patrick Reilly (Bucknell ‘26), Peter Detwiler (Marquette ’26), Drew Merschel (Denison ’27), Cliff Hawkins (LIU ’28), Ian Kim (Williams ’26).

Conestoga has consistently been a state title competitor. I expect to be a significant contributor to what is certain to be a nationally recognized team in 2023. 

These are my most recent accolades:

-             Varsity starter as a Freshman

-             Varsity football as a Freshman

-             Achieved Honors this past school year
