When I was in fourth grade, I saw my first lacrosse game, my younger brother's elementary game. The day after watching his game, I signed up to play lacrosse as well. Even though my brother no longer plays lacrosse, he is the one who inspired me to play.
While playing on a summer league, I had become sick at each practice after the first drill. After going to the doctor and getting a lot of testing done, it was determine that I was dehydrated. Also playing on another summer league, I found to be winded after drills. What this has taught me is the need to be in shape all year, stay healthy and to drink lots of water. Due to these struggles, it has provided me with knowledge of how to take care of myself while being an athlete and a student.
As I entered my Freshman year in high school, I had to choose what classes to take for my electives. Since I was interested in doing something in sports, I took Introduction to Health Sciences. Taking this class and being an athlete has influenced my decision to enter into the medical field in Athletic Training.
My academic goals in high school are to learn as much about the medical field as I can by utilizing different avenues available to me and earning a GPA of 3.7 or higher. I would also like to complete my Boy Scouts of American Eagle Scout achievement in the near future.
My goals as a college lacrosse player would also like to compete against other college teams on a competitive level while earning my degree as a Physical Therapist. You will find me to have the skills of leadership, athleticism, pride, and hard work.
