Why do I love to play lacrosse? Well, I have been playing lacrosse since second grade and I love it because of the fast pace and working with teammates to execute plays. My passion is playing defense because it requires sharp focus, swift foot work, and making quick and intentional decisions in order to create offensive opportunities. Through playing lacrosse I have learned the value of self-discipline, motivation, and ways to persevere through challenging situations. In addition, I have become open to receiving constructive criticism and learning from my mistakes to find ways to improve my game and contribute more effectively to my team.
My goal is to play at the college level because I want to progress in my skills, increase my game IQ, and continue to grow in the game with teammates as part of an athletic community. In college, I hope to study an area in the business field. At this time, however, I am keeping my options open and I have not fully decided what major I will pursue. Overall, lacrosse is a positive aspect in both my athletic and academic pursuits that I want to continue to develop and refine during my college career.
