As a player of the game, I am very serious about setting goals for myself every season. Not only setting goals on the field but off the field as well and how I can achieve them. My goals aren't always about how many points/assists I want to have the next season, I mean yes it consists of those, but it also consist of what I do after school or practice to get better. One of my key attributes is my over hand shot, and i'll continue to work on it to make it even better. Everyday in school, when I step foot into my first class, the game is on, I'm competing for a spot on a college roster. For me, it starts in the classroom and in order for me to achieve my goals, it requires me to try my best in school and always seek for help when I need it. Aside from school being my #1 priority, I need to always make sure I'm doing some other activity outside from school, weather its hitting the wall for a couple of hours, playing basketball, working-out, or something like that, that gets my heart rate up. Those things will overall help me become the athlete that I want to be. The best part about being on a team is by far the bonding that us teammates get to have. Especially if their are kids that I don't know, it gives me a chance to know them better. Not only do we get to know each other, but it will help us connect on the field and become a better team as one. Yes I will make mistakes and yes I wont always have the greatest game, but that will happen to everyone so you just have to pick your head up and think of the goals you set and where you want yourself to be in the future. And even though I may play bad, I will always be trying harder and outworking everyone else that's around me.
