Effort and accountability are two standards that are not only stressed in my character as a person, but are highlighted in my role as a lacrosse player. As I advance into my high school career, my work ethic drives me to achieve my most desired goals. Not only am I a high honor roll student, my success on the lacrosse field has been credited from my self-motivation. My engagement in academics as well as athletics has pushed me to become the player/scholar I am today. I am always striving to learn more, whether through my school work or in my experience gathered from scenarios I have come across on the field. As a freshmen, I did not make my varsity lacrosse team. As a result of this disappointment, I spent the following summer working toward the next season, the next opportunity. Whether I was in the weight room, shooting and passing for countless hours, or watching film, I was constantly soaking up ways in which to improve myself. As a result, not only did I make my varsity team as a sophomore, I started every single game and finished the year with the most total points, all while maintaining a 4.3 GPA. The future that lays ahead is extremely bright, and I will do whatever it takes to continue on this pathway of success. As a push toward the collegiate level, I strive for improvement as an intellectual, as well as an athlete.
