I am dedicated student with a 4.11 average. I have been unable to take the ACT or SAT this summer due to COVID.
I was invited to participate in the College Board National Recognition Program as I scored in the top 2 1/2 percent of all Hispanic students in my region. The College Board National Recognition Programs grant students academic honors that can be included on college applications. Colleges use these honors to identify students from underrepresented groups who have excelled on their PSAT/NMSQT and in their classrooms.
I earned a varsity letter in wrestling, played junior varsity soccer for two years, earned a varsity letter in soccer, played freshman basketball, was one match short of a varsity letter for wrestling as a freshman, and earned a varsity letter as a sophomore for lacrosse.
I am a two-way middie. I am very good at clears, rides, ground balls, on ball defense, caused turnovers, and assists due to my speed. I can also shoot and pass with both hands and very good at taking advantage of scoring opportunities near goal due to my box lacrosse experience. I occasionally face-off to disrupt the faceoff if my team is having trouble and then I stay on.
I have won several AA tournaments in field with the 2020 Fusion team (I played up for two years) and the 2021 team.
I have also won several box tournaments with Road Warriors Lacrosse. I was the only freshman on the 2021/2020 Penn*Lax 2017 team that had an undefeated season.
I was a gold medalist at the Warrior Games (Seneca Nation)(2021 Road Warriors National Box), the inaugural Huntley Cup (The Rock, Toronto, Ontario)(High School Elite Road Warriors National Box), and the O2 Nationals Skyline Invitational.
I played for the USBOXLA Midget national team and was the game MVP for one of the four tournament games in which we competed at the Trevor Wingrove Memorial Tournament in Coquitlam, British Columbia.
I played for the USBOXLA U18 national team this summer in California and was asked to play in the USBOXLA National Tournament for the Cali*Lax team who were the defending champions. At the USBOXLA Nationals I was coached by Tom Schreiber and Eric Martin.
I was also selected to the Good to Great Amherst Camp All-Star Team for the 2021/2022s in 2019 and selected for the All-Star Team for Southern States Elite held at Washington & Lee in Winter 2020.
I have been coached by both Matt McCormick (Drexel) and Steve Holmes (UVA, New York Lizards) who both helped develop my defense. Coaches Kevin Crowley and Luke Wiles have worked with me on offense. Coach Mark Burnam has worked on my overall game with me and introduced me to the dynamic and tough style of play that dominates Onondaga lacrosse. As a result, I have played on multiple Road Warrior field and box teams.
My Episcopal coach Chris Bates has helped me understand a college offense, while Coach Tom Slate and and William Gibbs have taught me the ins and outs of proper defense, bringing my experiences together into one cohesive package. All my coaches have taught me what it means to be a good teammate and that the game is a constant lifelong learning experience.
