Hi there. I am Rhyan Moody and I've run track for over 10 years now. I started running AAU when I was 5 years old, and am currently a member of my high school team, and train with my AAU club team during the summer months. I've competed in the Junior Olympics 5 times and I've earned medals 4/5 times in each of my events (800, 1500 and 3000). My 4x8 relay team has been undefeated and set a national record in Des Moines Iowa in 2014. I currently attend The Episcopal Academy where I run on the varsity cross county, indoor and outdoor track teams. I've earned 9 varsity letters thus far for cross country, indoor track and outdoor track. My favorite events are the 400, and the 800. I train hard and am very dedicated to improving overall. My fastest time is a 1:06 in the 400 and 2:30 in the 800. My best cross country time has been 23:23.
My collegiate aspiration is to be like Sanya Richards-Ross. As a Jamaican American, she has been a great inspiration in track and field. My personal aspiration is to gain entrance on to a great team (school), where I will be able to contribute to the team/university's record through my accomplishments both on the track as well as in the classroom, and where my skills and abilities will be enhanced as a runner. It is my desire to attend a great university where I will be able to use track and field as a spring board into a career in sports medicine, engineering or dentistry. I have had the great privilege to travel across the country through track and field. It has taught me so many things about myself as an individual and I am so excited to see where it will take me in the future. Maybe even Olympic bound.
