Mike Whaley '23 Recruiting Profile

As a player, I go out on to the field and give my 100%. I play every single offensive or defensive possession like it is my last. Throughout middle school, I played a lot of defensive midfield, and faceoff team repetitions, and developed a high lacrosse IQ, and the ability to accurately assess and read plays, both offensively and defensively. As I transitioned into high school, I shifted my skill set to be more versatile, and I possess the ability to play any offensive spot, and I can play both ways as a midfielder. I am very comfortable as an interior finisher, but I also take pride in my craftiness as a shooter and with my ball placement. I am a versatile player who fits the mold of the "first in, last out" athlete who constantly just wants to get better. If you recruit me to your school, you will get a player who wants to work, compete, lead, and win.
