My name is Brodie Campbell. I live in Pittsburgh PA and have been fighting adversity in my life. My Dad and my Mom split up when I was very young. In addition, my mom was quadriplegic. I saw him every other weekend until I was about twelve because he was a heavy drinker. My mother didn't want me seeing that at a young age. When I was fourteen I saw my amazing grandfather pass away he was like a dad to me always taking me places and looking out for me. When my Mom was a teen she got in a four wheeling accident and wad paralyzed from the cest down no words to explain how strong she was. Not long after my grandfather passed away my mom was feel sick and fighting for a long time telling everyone in our family that she doesn't need to go to the hospitl. Once she started to get really sick she finally went to the hospital and was diagnosed with cancer. I was thinking to myself what will I do now always wanted to go to college and play lacrosse, had options to live with my grandparents in Georgia or my Aunt and Uncle here in Pittsburgh I moved in with my Aunt and Uncle and their two kids. My Uncle is my biggest mentor he has changed my mindset for everything. Moved into a great school district great lacrosse team. I am not happy about what has happened, but would do anything to get my mom back but I am thankful how things have worked out. Not sure just yet what I wanna study in college but 100% wanna play lacrosse at the next level.
