Focus, determination and hard work are priorities in my life. I live by the philosophy of what you put into practice is just as important as what you put into the game. I've practiced my athletic philosophy in every sport. I have participated wanting myself, and most importantly, the team to be the best that they can be. I believe the most important quality in a successful athlete is the ability to be coachable. I strive to achieve this goal on and off the field. I listen and absorb the advice given by every coach and whether I agree or disagree I respect their authority and value their experience and expertise.
I always take pride in everything I do. My parents have sacrificed much for me to be where I am and I always try to maintain a high GPA and work hard on and off the field. The constant practices, travel ball, games both football and lacrosse and not to mention SAT prep classes in addition to sending me to the highest caliber school in our area are sacrifices for them. I owe it to my parents to give it my all in everything I do. I respect them more than anything and to disappoint them is not an option.
I started playing football when I was six and concentrated on football and baseball in addition to basketball most of my youth. When I was in 7th grade I discovered the sport that has captivated and excited me more than anything; lacrosse. I played many positions as a youth player including goalie. When I began my high school career, my coach at the time and a man I respect tremendously, said to me, "We need to get a long pole in your hands." Ever since that day I learned and practiced and excelled at the position. As a sophomore I was All Conference and I continue to travel and play to improve and expand my skill level. I look forward to a future driven to the success of myself and most importantly my team.
I take pride in being a team leader and I look forward to continuing my high school and collegiate career leading our team both on and off the field. The field, my brothers on the field and the school I represent are one of the most important priorities in my life. I look forward to continuing my lacrosse career and I would give everything I have both academically and athletically to your institution constantly wanting to improve myself and my brothers on the field. Given the opportunity to fulfill this goal would truly be an amazing experience.
