Lacrosse has been my dream since third grade. I have worked extremely hard to get to the point I am at now, and I will not give up on this aspiration. Every time I’m on the field I get a rush. Other teams might discount me as I may appear small for my age group, but they only make that mistake once. One of my strongest attributes is the knowledge of the game. Coaches have said that my lacrosse IQ is through the roof and that I am quite adept at analyzing and exposing the weaknesses in opposing teams. After I become comfortable in a team environment I want what is best for all of them; I aim to be a leader on and off the field. I am willing to direct traffic and put them in the best position to win. I like to be vocal and I constantly encourage and support my teammates on the field, in the weight room, and in life. This leads me to my next point. Even though I am willing to take control, my captains and especially my coach, is the number one authority. I want to learn from my mistakes so when he/she needs to redirect us I will not argue, in contrast I will mentally take his/her advice into consideration and improve to the best of my ability. I am coachable and anytime a coach is speaking I want to gain knowledge from him/her to further develop my game. Winning a local tournament in Tacoma, Washington with my select team has been the highlight of my lacrosse career so far. We had a strong brotherhood that year and we played relentlessly. I want to keep improving and compete at the highest level. My lacrosse goals are met with the same tenacity in the classroom where I strive for greatness everyday. I currently have a 4.0 GPA while taking challenging courses and I intend to keep in there. Through strong character, work ethic, determination, and grit my plan is to excel at high school and college lacrosse. I strongly believe I am the perfect candidate for your college to represent your team in the classroom and on the lacrosse field!
