Carson Varhol '23 Recruiting Profile

I will graduate from Arrowhead High School in 2023 and determined to play lacrosse at an academically strong college where I intend to major in business. I am a very hard working and goal-focused multi-sport student athlete at one of the most academically and athletically competitive schools in the U.S. (#11 Best High School for Athletes in America per Niche).

I've played lacrosse for over 11 years.  I play D/LSM for Arrowhead High School as well as Badger Prime, True Illinois and Team UNRL club teams. I previously played for Amplify/Alpha Lacrosse. I’m an aggressive player with a large 6’4”/195lb frame, good speed and solid stick skills. I routinely hit the weight room,  play wall ball to maintain my stick skills, and do extra training whenever possible.  I pride myself on being a great communicator and team player on and off the field as well as an extremely hard worker.  I was a starter at LSM as a junior this year on our high school team which lost in the state quarterfinals to the #1 ranked team. I was amongst the leaders in CTO's and GB's for long sticks. For Summer 2022, I will be playing in several showcases and national tournaments with Badger Prime, True Illinois and Team UNRL.

I have consistently competed at a high level. In addition to lacrosse, I am a USSA/FIS competitive alpine ski racer where until recently I was focused on qualifying for the Junior Olympics/Junior Championships and also race for my high school team which has been the Wisconsin State High School Alpine Ski Racing Champion the past 7 consecutive years. I stopped playing football (linebacker/WR) my junior year to focus on lacrosse. I previously played competitive tournament-level tennis and enjoy wake surfing and wake boarding in the summer.

My GPA was 3.71 for the most recent semester, I am a member of my high school's student marketing organization (DECA), Investment Club, S.A.V.E, and participate in Young Life.
