I am Brody Luce, I started rowing in 8th grade, and I have both swept and sculled quite a bit. At my time on OARS, I was always the youngest on my team, so I felt like I constantly had something to prove as an underdog. This gave me a great work ethic which I brought to Marin Rowing Association, and I strive to be the best I can possibly be. I do well in school in addition to being a quick learner with great focus, so I pick up technical changes well on the water. I have high expectations for myself and would like to row at an elite level in college. Even though I have lots of ambitions, I know that the most important thing is to enjoy the sport, so I always try to come to practice with a smile and bring joy to the team. In 2023 I was voted by my teammates to receive the Roger Barbey Award - an award that recognizes spirit, dedication, and camaraderie.
