My name is Donnie Flores, and i attend Pacifica High school in garden grove, and for the entirety of my life, I've taken in many explanations on college and my future from many peers and administrators. I've played nine years of basketball, baseball and soccer throughout my childhood, and never felt the structure and discipline i have with rowing. Not only has it helped me succeed in my athletic sport, but it has also supported me in my everyday life. It's that split second choice that matters right before you buy that candy bar at the store, those split second decisions that are followed by motivation and good intentions to better yourself. Rowing has helped me in more ways that i can even comprehend . I started rowing for NSBR in the fall of my sophomore year up until present day as a senior. I found that using fundamentals and a reality perspective will help me reach my goals, and for the last almost 2 decades of my life, I've been set on attending a college and up until sophomore year i knew i had to attend a school that would consider me to row for them. This is a goal that i have been set with for an extremely long time, and by any means necessary will i commit and reach that goal.
