Hi! My name is Ryan Remak. I am a student at San Marin High School, graduating in 2025. I began rowing in 2019. I began training and racing competitively in 2021. From the moment I stepped foot in a boat I knew that rowing was going to become a big part of me, and it has. I am driven to work each and every day in the pursuit of speed, fitness, and building a deeper sense of self and character. I see rowing as not only a means to success in the world of athletics, but also as a bridge to betterment of myself and becoming a better, stronger person through work. Of course, academics do not fall to the sidelines. A balance between work in the boathouse and in the classroom is something I strive to keep up and I understand that no level of commitment and success in rowing will compensate for sub-par academic aptitude. Nevertheless, I love this sport and am extremely excited to continue my rowing career in college.
