This spring I completed my third year rowing for PNRA/Mercer Rowing Club. I row mostly starboard, and have some skulling experience. I am extremely adaptable and can row in multiple seats, with much of my experience in bigger boats so far. I believe I am one of the hardest working rowers on the team. At the end of my freshman year I received the Standard Bearer Award, for exemplifying the characteristics and traits that the team strives for. Generally, this award has been given to seniors, and I was honored to receive it from my teammates.
I just returned from the Men's Mid-Atlantic Olympic Development Program. It was a great experience and I challenged myself in many new ways. The result was a silver medal in the U17 8+ at the inaugural Summer Cup at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota.
My goals for rowing in college are many. I am eager to row for a team that pushes me both on the water, in the classroom, and as an individual. Teamwork and comradery are important to me. I am open to schools of all sizes and types, and will know the right place when I see it.
I am excited to work hard the next two years in my junior career, and can't wait to see where it takes me.
