Zephyr Castel '23 Recruiting Profile

I am an ambitious rower who will never be satisfied with where I currently am. I am constantly trying to improve athletically in the boat, on the erg, or technically on the water. I am a team player who encourages others to push themselves and contribute to the positive energy in the squad. This year on my club team I won the Spirit of Rowing award because I move others to be their best selves on and off the water. My current 2000-meter personal record on the ergometer is 6:39. This PR was over four months ago, and since then I have been training hard every day to bring my PR below 6:35. I am far faster than I was in March and I believe that this goal is a certainty. I throw myself into academics with all I have and find myself excelling due to my interest in learning as much as possible. I am a strong team player and will be a great addition to your team.
