Personal Statement
Rowing has given me so much in life, whether it be friendships, fitness, or my competitive drive. As a rower I have also faced hardship. Both injury and illness have put a strain on seasons in the past each encouraging me to appreciate the sport and the grind even more. As a student, I am driven in the classroom to grow and consistently do my best. In college, I aim to achieve athletic success and growth that surpasses what I have had in my high school rowing career so far. I also strive to make the best of my education and be a student that is as present in the classroom as I will be on the race course.
