Personal Statement
Starting in Freshman year, I would never have guessed that I would be making the varsity rowing team in the same year, much less taking a state title for the second year in a row. I'm looking to challenge myself in college and not just cruise through on an easy course load. Much like in my rowing, if I am not challenged, whatever I was doing loses its intrigue. I don't believe success comes from just riding along. You have to push the boundaries and limits of not only yourself, but also your craft, whether that be sports or academics.
