The youngest of six children, I was born in Lawrenceville, Georgia. My parents, Alan and Eileen moved to the greater Atlanta area from Ormond Beach, Florida after they married in 1991. I trace my rowing roots to my mom who rowed at the University of Florida, the University of Central Florida and Winter Park High School back when dinosaurs roamed the earth.
I am a straight-A student carrying a 4.0 average against an extremely rigorous honors and AP curriculum at Mill Creek High School in Hoschton, GA. I have won numerous academic awards including the President’s Honor Roll for maintaining a perfect GPA throughout middle school.
I enjoy sculling but my passion is sweep. As a 6’5” sophomore I earned a starboard seat in the men’s varsity 8 “A” boat at Atlanta’s Junior Rowing Club (AJRA). AJRA’s Varsity “A” boat took 4th at this year’s Head of The Charles Regatta, far exceeding the expectations of the rowing community. A few weeks later we took first at the Head of the Hooch in Chattanooga, TN and set the course record for juniors along the way.
My plan is to crew in college and study business and engineering. My dream is to one day qualify for the US Olympic rowing team.
