My name is John (Charlie) Marino and I am a 15 year old rower from Longmeadow, Massachusetts. I am willing to do whatever it takes to make the boat (or my erg time) faster. At practice, I love talking with my teammates but there is a time and place for everything and when it all boils down, I ask myself one simple question. Will this make me faster? I will also do just about anything and everything for my teammates. If my last race is at 10am, I will stay at the regatta until PVRC's last boat has raced and the trailer is all packed. Speed wise, I recently broke 6:30 on my 2k. I am looking to get that number down to sub 6 before I graduate in May of 2021. In terms of education, my weighted average GPA sophomore year was a 4.1. Unweighted was a 3.67. In all my endeavors, I strive to give 110 percent whether it be academics, athletics, or anything else.
