I still remember the first time that I went to the boathouse. In In fifth grade, I was a shy kid who always loves swimming. That summer I participated in a “Learn to Row” class run by Coach Clemens Reinke. From my very first class I fell in love with the sport of Rowing. Since the first day I found that I like the Tranquility o of being on the water, taking care of the boats (I have always been the kid who loves to work with his hands and tools), and the comrades of the boat house. For the past few years I have bomunterrrr to teach the “Learn to Row” classes by in order to “pay it forward.”
After graduating from middle school, I had planned to continue to grow on a high school team. However, my father‘s employment, quiet and overseas location for my freshman year. While overseas, I went wrong as often as possible. Although it was a great experience to live in another country I missed throwing with a team. Due to the political situation my family was forced to quickly relocate to the United States in the fall of 2023. My parents are rolling in a new school, which should not have a rowing team. Unfortunately, my new school was not within driving distance Rowing clubhouse. Therefore I rowed worh the Bergen County Rowing Academy when time permitted and did not enter any races this past year.
This summer as arising Junior, I have rekindled my love of the sport of growing. As they enter my junior of high school, I am driving to improve my bone skills and.academics. I anticipate that as I continue to grow taller and stronger my rowing times will improve. I am looking forward to the fall rowing season.
In college, I would like to continue to row and to pursue and rigorous academic program. I realize that this will require a tremendous amount of discipline and talent to do successfully. I believe that my past experiences have fortified me this challenge. Through my dedication and the guidance of Coach Clemens I will continue to improve to earn a position on an elite collegiate I was lucky to find my passion on that very first “Learn to Row” class.
