For as long as I can remember, I have always loved sports and physical activities. Throughout my life I’ve picked up so many interests: skiing, fishing, drawing, painting, biking, music production, soccer, soccer refereeing, lacrosse and more recently rowing and origami. When I was younger I struggled with severe ADHD which made school difficult. My ability to focus throughout elementary school and much of middle-school was a struggle. Over time I learned to control my energy and focus. As things improved my organizational skills increased dramatically making school easier than ever. Being disciplined and able to focus are two very important things and have helped me hone in on what I truly want to do.
Now, reflecting on my past, it seems that the challenges I faced prepared and taught me that the my mind can be a hurdle itself. The discipline and patience I have now has helped me in both my academic and athletic career. I am dedicated and passionate about rowing and school which will help me reach my goals on the water and in the classroom.
