Personal Statement
Since I became eligible in my 9th grade year, I have rowed. In the past I have played sports such as soccer and tennis but have struggled to maintain an active interest in these sports. I started crew as a means to stay in shape, but quickly that developed into a passion for rowing. Five days a week for the past three years, I have spent on the water or in the gym training. I would like to continue rowing on a strong team, and I intend to work to get faster and stronger over the next year. I have maintained high grades in challenging courses and am especially interested in science, particularly chemistry. In college, I envision a major in science, and can't wait to row!
