As I move throughout my career as both a high school student and a student-athlete, I have developed many different skills that I believe would make me a desirable candidate for any college, both academically and athletically.
As a student, I have always held myself to the highest academic standards possible. I have maintained both a very high GPA and an extremely strong work ethic, demonstrating my ability to not only manage my time as a student-athlete, but also my ability to overcome the obstacles that I face as a student-athlete. Ever since I was young, I've always wanted to go to a great college, one where I'd be challenged to further my education by searching for knowledge. Because of this aspiration, I have chose to work hard in school to show colleges everywhere that I hold myself to a very high standard, only in the best interest of furthering my own education.
As an athlete, I have spent almost every single day of my high school training exposing myself to some of the most physically exhausting challenges of my life. My rowing career has truly tested my work ethic, both in challenging me to manage my time, and also challenging my physical capabilities. As every day continues, I push myself further and further, regardless of my past accomplishments. Rowing has forged me into a completely new person, one who now actively tries to push the boundaries of their limitation each and every day. Along with the physical aspects of rowing, I have had new experiences that have affected my character as a human. Rowing has helped me become more self-driven, more determined, and more open-minded in all aspects of my life.
While my career develops, I will continue to strive for excellence in all areas of my life, regardless of what the future brings.
