I have been actively playing soccer since I was 6 years old. Playing soccer in college would be a dream for me because it would provide me a wonderful opportunity to play the sport I love while also receiving a high quality education. Being a part of a team sport has been a major part of my life and taught me personal skills I use today: leadership, communication, teamwork, pride and humility.
I have always set personal goals for myself academically as well. I was a part of the Scholar’s Bowl team from 6th through 9th grade, and some of my accolades include finishing 25th individually at the NAQT National Championship in Chicago out of over 900 students, placing 1st individually in Madison County, while captaining my team for three years. I am an avid reader and enjoy studying history, particularly major wars and American presidents. I have maintained straight A’s my entire life, and I have been a part of the Beta Club for three years. I was recognized in 8th grade as having the highest grade point average of all male students. Just this past month, I was inducted into the National Honor Society.
I am still undecided as to what I want to study in college. I don’t have a certain geography or size of a school already determined, but the size of the school is not as important as the field of study and other extracurricular activities it provides.
