My name is Lane Myers. I am a senior at Vestavia Hills High School, where I am on the Varsity Men's Soccer team. I play for Alabama FC with the 03/04 ECNL team and the 03/04 ECNL Regional League team (Captain).
I play outside back and center back. I rarely lose a challenge in the air or get beat off the ball. I am good with both my right and left leg and go into tackles strong. I can make throws all the way across the box and I head and volley in the air. I am a vocal communicator to other defenders and midfielders. I am solid with one-on-one defending and look to keep the ball as opposed to randomly kicking it. I also look to get involved in the attack.
I am looking for a school with a strong soccer program, as well as high academic standards. I am committed to maintaining high academic achievement throughout high school and college.
