Scott Danroth '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Scott and I play keeper and left back at the elite club level in Edmonton, Canada for St Albert Impact.  Edmonton is a town of about 1.0 million people and is a hotbed for soccer in Canada having produced several EPL and Bundesliga players.

In addition to my club play, I also train with a B licence, nationally certified goalie coach who was a former pro himself and has trained goalies at the national team level.

I am very fortunate to be a part of Impact with a great set of coaches and, previously, part of the FC Barcelona International Escola program.  That experience resulted in my being named as starting goalie for a team of players from across Canada attending an international FC Barca tournament in Barcelona.  

As a goalie that grew late, I have had to work very hard on the technical elements of my game and feel that my superior footskills and cool demeanor when handling the ball outside of the box set me apart from others my age.  I model my game after Ederson.

In terms of my family, I have an older sister who plays soccer in the NCAA Div II and both my parents were high level athletes as well.  We are an active family and I enjoy golf and am an expert level downhill skier.

My goal is to play as a keeper at the NCAA Div I or II level and work on my pre-med degree.
