I LOVE SPORTS!
I have played all kinds of sports for as long as I can remember, but got my first real "team" in the preschool soccer program my mom owned and coached, called Future STARS! Ever since, soccer has been my main focus and the thing that I always look forward not only to test my competitive drive and skills but also as my stress release from school work or other responsibilities.
I recently starting coaching and I think this experience is something that sets me apart from other athletes. I like thinking about creating practices for the kids and trying to get them to understand the game better and love it the way I do. I took part in a youth coaching program last summer and obtained a Canada Soccer C-License (trained) certification. The challenge of coaching younger players I think makes my game better too and it definitely gives me a better appreciation of players who are coachable and determined to be better. That inspires me!
I am determined to continue to play soccer competitively as long as I can, and also to stay involved in the sport for a lifetime. Being able to combine my passion for soccer with an opportunity to study and pursue a career related to sport science or human movement is my main goal for the next several years. If you are looking for a consistent and dynamic back or wing player with both attacking and defending skills and a deadly left foot, THAT'S ME!
