Good day,
My name is Zakary Thomas, and this is a little about me:
I am eager to attend a school where there could be an opportunity to play a lot of minutes and make connections on and off the field. My most comfortable position is playing center back; however, I have played in other positions with success in the previous seasons. Those include, keeper, left wing and center mid. Left foot dominate with a strong right shot and great vision of the game play allows me to be flexible with choices made on the pitch. In the past, the teams that I played with have won numerous amounts of tournaments including two silver medals at Alberta Provincials. I have been fortunate with my teams in that I have had the opportunity to play both out of province and out of country most recently in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Kamloops, British Columbia; and Las Vegas, Nevada. Soccer has been my sport of choice having started at age 3 and turning to competitive league at age 7. To me, soccer is a way to escape from everything in the outside world with a task in hand that I enjoy and want to be the best I can be. During the past 3 years I have played at the competitive league level for my age, high school team and on a men’s DIV 1 team. The vison and love for the game has afforded me the opportunity to coach in the grassroots program as well as a U10 boys’ team. Mentoring youth allows me the opportunity to bring the joy and vison I have for soccer to the next generation. I look forward to hearing from all schools that may be interested in my soccer and academic goals.
