Matthew Jakubik '14 Recruiting Profile

Hi Coach. My name is Matthew Jakubik and I am a Senior at Boulder Creek High School for the 2013-14 season. I am the Captain of our Varsity Team and have been a Captain on my Club Teams for the past 6 years. I was moved up to Varsity for a few games during my Freshman year as the coaches recognized my skill level. During my sophomore and junior years, I started every game on varsity. I played for Anthem Soccer Club for the U-18 team until 2012 when the team disbanded.  I immediately made the transition to the AZ Inferno Club Team and was named co-captain within a few weeks.  I am very happy with the move as the coaching staff is outstanding and keeps me challenged on a daily basis.  My main position is center defense but I have played mid field on occasion.  I am 6'0" tall and weigh 170 lbs. My game schedule and upcoming tournament schedule is posted under the Events Tab and will be updated on a regular basis.  My dream is to play soccer at the next level and attend college on an athletic/academic scholarship. I am very open to attend a Christian University as my faith is a very important focus in my life. Athletically, I would love to attend a college that would give me an opportunity for playing time as soon as possible.  I believe that I possess the ability to make an immediate contribution and have a positive impact on the team.  I appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you.
