Hello, my name is Quinton Wiltbank and I am entering my final year as a senior graduating in the class of 2023. Soccer has been a big part of my life since I could remember. All my friends and even my family have experiences with the sport, therefore it isn't surprising that I too fell in love with it. My favorite part is being in the front, doing all that I can to put that ball in the goal. That is why I generally play in a forward position, although, I do have experience all around the pitch. In every game I play, my goal is always to do whatever I can to win, so I constantly give as much effort as I possibly can. My friends and family describe me as a hard worker who never gives up, and I strive to live by that description.
When it comes to school, my ideals are the same. I currently sit in the top 5% of my class, with a goal of becoming number one by the end of this school year. I generally excel in math and sciences, and I intend to pursue a career in these fields. Specifically, I have an interest in chemical engineering. All my life I have had an interest in both chemistry and engineering, so as I thought about my future, combining the two seemed like a logical choice. Overall I plan to study hard and finish my high school years strong.
Adding to this, I tend to keep myself busy with extracurriculars throughout the school year. Since Junior High school, I have taken part in Student council, National Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, National Math Honor Society, National Music Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Chess Club, Band, Academic Decathlon, Knowledge Bowl, and even Drama Club. In many of these organizations, I have taken upon some form of leadership position, such as becoming the band captain this current year and section leader last ye5. Overall I have a large collection of various skills and interests.
On top of soccer, I also have experiences with swimming, tennis, and band. While tennis and band are relatively new in my life, I have been swimming almost as long as I have been playing soccer. From age 8 until 15, I participated on a USA level swim team and place in almost all of my events. I joined my High School team where I have gone to state every year. If given the opportunity, I would be honored to compete in multiple sports at a collegiate level.
Thank you!
