I'm Spanish/American and grew up playing soccer in Brazil and Spain before moving with my family to Phoenix my freshman year in high school. I got my start in Sao Paulo kicking a soccer ball as soon as I could walk. After moving to Madrid at age 8, I played for academy teams with CF Pozuelo, a 3rd division Liga club, and for my American School of Madrid team. In play for my Phoenix club team and for my high school team I've received widespread praise for my physicality and my technical and tactical skills. I think my Spanish training served me well because it instilled for me the competitive edge required to get called up to play Saturdays from September through May, plus the team spirit there that is essential for the all important goal of having your team advance to a higher category or avoid relegation. I will most likely enter college undeclared, but am very interested in business and in particular sports business. I think the college where I go will benefit from my soccer skills and my international background, which includes native fluency in Spanish and Portuguese. I am most interested in attending a college on the West or East coasts, near a beach if possible and where there is no very cold weather.
